I’m Supporting the Northern Climb 2026

— and I’m Asking for Your Support

I’m supporting something this year that genuinely matters to me.

It’s called The Northern Climb 2026 — and it’s not just about climbing mountains.

It’s about supporting people before things fall apart.

I’m sharing this with you personally because I believe in the cause behind it

— and because there are simple, meaningful ways to be part of it if it resonates with you.

The Northern Climb 2026

What This Is About

The Northern Climb is a six-week, northbound alpine journey taking place in Alberta, British Columbia, and the Yukon during July–August 2026.

The climb includes:

  • Eight non-technical alpine ascents
  • Over 31,000 feet of total elevation — the equivalent of Mount Everest
  • Intentional, non-competitive movement under real-world load

This is not a race.
It’s not a competition.

It’s a movement rooted in clarity, resilience, and showing up — steadily — when life carries pressure.

The Cause Behind the Climb

YouMattyr Foundation is a Canadian nonprofit organization focused on prevention-based emotional wellbeing, clarity, and leadership support: for people who look “fine” on the outside — but are quietly carrying more responsibility, pressure, and emotional load than most systems are designed to support.

The YouMattyr Foundation creates programs and initiatives centered around:

  • Youth development
  • Adults under pressure
  • First responders and service-oriented individuals
  • Prevention-based clarity education

This work is not crisis response.
It’s not therapy.
It’s prevention.

Because most people don’t break suddenly — they drift.  The Foundation’s work helps interrupt that drift.

Why This Matters to Me

I’m involved because I’ve seen how common it is for capable, responsible people to keep pushing — while slowly losing clarity, self-trust, and emotional steadiness.

They keep showing up.
They keep functioning.
And they quietly pay for it internally.

The YouMattyr Foundation is one of the few organizations I’ve seen that takes prevention seriously — that supports people before things become labels, diagnoses, or emergencies.

That matters to me.

So I’m choosing to support the Northern Climb — and I’m asking you to consider supporting it too.

  • Move alongside friends, family, or coworkers
  • Use gym equipment (stairs, incline, cardio) to mirror the climb effort

If you’d like to register your own movement-based participation and fundraise in support of the Northern Climb, you can do so directly through YouMattyr

If donating or participating isn’t possible right now, sharing still matters.

Passing this on helps normalize conversations around clarity, emotional wellbeing, and supporting people before crisis.
